Health and social support
The success of your studies is also dependent on your well-being. That’s why the University of Bordeaux has services and facilities in place in case you run into any problems.

Health
For students experiencing minor and/or major ailments there is one place to go: l'Espace santé étudiants (Student Health Center).
There you will find advice, a friendly ear, medical attention and you can ask them any embarrassing questions:
- medical consultations and care
- sexuality, contraception, STIs
- vaccination
- medical and psychological consultations
- certificate of non-contradiction to the practice of a sport or a sport at risk
- dietetics.
With no upfront costs, the professionals at the Student Health Center welcome you all year round, Monday to Friday.
The health space also offers workshops in stress management, exam preparation and cooking. Plus, student-lead events like the Sex on campus festival.
Finally, we have nurses on campus who are at your disposal for any personal health questions.

Social
Social workers are available to listen to you and support you if you encounter any difficulties.
- Financing your studies and urgent grants
- Help with financial grant applications
- Support in the event of personal difficulties (family breakdown, problems during your degree)
- Liaison with internal and external services, direction towards specialized facilities.
- Legal information.
You can make an appointment to study your case with the Crous social service or with the Espace santé étudiants.
